The beak S80 for tenor saxophone is extremely popular since 1974 and still today considered as the reference. The S80 has a warm sound, a sound that is wide and expansive. The S80 C* a room square, an opening of 1.80 mm and a table length of 24mm.
The bec de saxophone tenor Selmer S80 is made from ebonite, a rubber hardened by the addition of sulfur which makes this material extremely stable.
Drafted on a tower, torches are then polished, and then the chamber is pierced, a draft of the table is performed, and finally the light and the end are milled. The finishing is then done entirely by hand.
