Wire nuts are used daily by the millions by electricians and installers. Twist on wire nuts are color coded twist on wire connectors used to fasten 2 or more electrical conductors together as they are a type of electrical connector. Red is used for high voltage and is rated up to 600 volts, blue, orange grey and yellow all test out at 300 volts. They can be used as well to cap off a live wire to prevent fire hazard or injury. As these wire nuts twist on, they also twist off and are completely removable and reusable.
