• How do I prepare and change the Original filter in my Brita pitcher?
  1. Rinse your Brita® Original Filter with cold water for 15 seconds.
  2. Insert your Brita Original Filter into the reservoir below the line to seal. Press firmly for a tight seal.
  3. Add cold tap water.
  4. Discard your first three pitchers of filtered water or use it to water plants. It’s normal for carbon dust to appear in your first few fillings.
